Photography-in-the-Park: Sept 15, 2012

The Fort Snelling Camera club has arranged for us to join them for a fun and informative event. The Council is pleased to sponsor this event and make it free for those who attend.

The Photography-in-the-Park event on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., provided by the Fort Snelling State Park Photography Club, is for members of the Twin Cities Area Council of Camera Clubs (TCACCC), camera clubs associated with TCACCC and up to two guests you would like to invite who are also interested in photography. Seating is limited for some sessions, so please register by Friday, September 7, at so we can plan accordingly.

Vehicle check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the entrance to Fort Snelling State Park next to the main ranger station building at the bottom of the hill. Please bring your camera, fresh camera batteries, memory and/or film, pencil / notepad, and a bag/picnic lunch. Also wear appropriate clothing. This is a rain or shine event.

All sessions will provide ample opportunities for you to take photos, learn about editing your digital photographs in Photoshop, learn about local wildlife and animal behavior as these relate to photography, and learn about the history of Fort Snelling and what Fort Snelling State Park has to offer through it’s abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery right in the middle of the Twin Cities Metro!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Fort Snelling Camera Club at with your questions.
