CCC Board Meeting Notes - October 4, 2011

General Announcements
–CCC sponsored the best photo award in the Edina Juried Art Exhibition.
–Geoff and Holly presented the award to winner, Lorelee Wederstrom.
–Bill is hoping to get the winner to come to a club meeting.
–Bill suggested that next year we offer a one year CCC membership along with the prize money.

Judging and Presenting
–Oct presenter is Rikk Flohr. His presentation will cover a 6000+ mile road trip through national parks in
Minnesota, Las Vegas, and Austin, Texas.
–Oct judge is Barb Smith.
–Cynthia will do the 6:15pm mini lesson. She will be applying techniques to an image and showing how to
resize digital images.
–Lee stated that he asks the judges if they would be willing to be a presenter also.
–Geoff and Holly need the judging scores at least a day before the monthly club meeting for digital salons.
–The members who have previously won photographer of the year, and will earn half points once they
reach 175 points, are: Rick Hobbs, Ron Levandowski, Cynthia Fleury, Lars Michael, Steve Shore, and Holly

–$2355.55 funds on hand
–Projected budget shows a deficit by the end of the year.
–Bill will ask Brian how much the yearbooks will cost this year and if we can give the printing company
some free advertising of some kind to help defray some of the cost.

–Mark reported that Peter’s exhibit of golf images is going up in our permanent exhibition space at the
Edina City Hall. The next exhibition there will consist of member photos. If your photo is selected for the
exhibition, you will have to pay Geoff to have your photo matted.
–Brian is working on the yearbook, which will be ready for either this meeting or next.
–president’s focus: print circuit/interclub/Christmas party/Year End
–how do we orient our members to the different ways we communicate? ie:website/yahoo/FB/Flicker
–Flicker is moderated by Scott Board.
–The yahoo group is for members only and every CCC member is part of it.

Print Circuit and Interclub
–how do we educate people on the differences between print circuit and interclub?
–international print circuit is 2/2/12 and we will be providing judges and volunteers.
–interclub has both individual competition and club competition.
–interclub entry deadline is in February. Winners are announced at Spring Break, which is usually late
March or early April.
–CCC is hosting the digital entries for interclub in 2012.
–Mark informed us that the Camera Council is putting together a video to explain interclub and give
